About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal focuses on contemporary problems of business and public administration internal. We do not restrict fields of interests. However, the main research fields are:

  • public administration,
  • business,
  • economy,
  • management,
  • sociology.

The journal publishes original research, reports on innovative practices, literature reviews, case studies, and book, conference and product reviews. The journal also welcomes provocative essays that will stimulate thought on the current and future problems.

The Journal accepts submissions continuously.

Publication and review process is free of charge for all authors.

Peer Review Process

General information

The following types of contribution to the journal are peer-reviewed: articles, letters, communications, reports, analyses, reviews, progress or insight papers. All articles will be peer-reviewed under blind review procedure. In case of other articles, board of editors will decide whether peer-review is necessary.

Online review

Reports of peer-reviewers are being sent using our online system. Editor will provide detailed instruction for peer-reviewers.

Criteria for publication

To be published, a paper should meet general criteria:

  • include elements of novelty,
  • provide evidence for its arguments,
  • importance to the scientific field,
  • ideally: cross-disciplinary.

The article should address its conclusions to problems business or public administration.

 

Publication Frequency

The journal is published quarterly. Subsequent issues during the year are named: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. They are being released approximately in January, April, July and October.

All past issues are available freely in ARCHIVE section. Current issue is available in CURRENT section.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Metadata harvesting by repository services is allowed freely. Please notify us before starting to harvest metadata.

Journal History

This journal was found by Washington Institute of China Studies in 2006. Until 2013 it was published under title Journal of the Washington Institute of China Studies. It's main topics were business and public administration in China and U.S., as well as relations between those countries. The editor was prof. Bernard T. Pitsvada, The Georgetown University.

In 2014 the scope of the journal was extended. It resulted in new title: Business and Public Administration Studies.
